Searching for the right home for you and your four legged friends doesn't have to be a challenge!
How to find the right home for you and your furry family!
Finding the right home for your family can be challenging. Especially when you have more than just yourself to think of. Finding the best place for your furry family doesn't have to be impossible. (No, not your husbands body hair, your pets!)
There are so many neighborhoods, apartment communities and condominiums that have strict pet restrictions in place, making it difficult to find a home that can accommodate your whole family! This goes for renting and buying. Did you know there are many HomeOwner's Associations (HOAs) that will restrict the number of pets or breeds that can live in a given community? That's right, you might find the PERFECT house, only to be told that your gentle, loving pitbull isn't allowed to live there.
If you're anything like me, your pets are like your family. They are the four legged children who run the household. They demand you feed them, walk them, pet them, hold them and clean up after them. You want to make sure you find a home that not only fits for you, but also your cuddly creatures. Whether you own a dog or a cat, there can be challenges finding your home. Where do you start?
First off, I would suggest using a Realtor. Now, I know what you are thinking, you may not be ready to buy, or you don't want to pay someone to find a home for you. Well the last part is actually a common misconception about real estate agents. Many agents, including myself, regularly work with renters looking to move into the perfect place. I realize that owning a home may not be the next step in everyone's lives and I am here to help find you a rental at NO COST to you! That's right, I do all the searching, all the behind the scenes work to send you any available properties to fit your needs, just like if you were shopping for a home to purchase.
I also work with this great Lease with option to purchase program that has a pet-friendly policy for renters having a hard time finding the perfect home or those who are thinking about buying, but not quite ready yet. Either way, I am here to help take the stress of the search off your hands so you can focus on day-to-day life. Now, back to the pets!
There are many communities who have great amenities for your pets, such as a fenced in dog walking area, "doggie bags" dispensers, or lots of walking trails for you both to enjoy.
I also want to mention that if you have any sort of Service Animal, you are NOT required to follow any pet policy. This means you are exempt from the restrictions because your service or support animal acts as a tool to assist you with any challenges you may face in life. If your neighborhood doesn't have it's own designated dog area, check out the surrounding area to find out if you are close to one of the local dog parks! My favorite spots are Estero Community Park's K-9 Corraland Hickory Island's Dog Beachin Bonita Springs.
